About the Massachusetts Energy Explorer

The Massachusetts Energy Explorer is a project of the Clean Energy and Environment Legacy Transition (CELT) Initiative. CELT is a collaboration among The Healey-Driscoll Administration, UMass Lowell, and the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability. IGS oversees data analysis for CELT, drawing on BU’s leadership in data science. The goal is to make essential data accessible and usable for decision-making about clean energy transitions, leading to more equitable outcomes. Training and hands-on technical help is available to municipalities and communities across Massachusetts to support this data integration.
